At Moss
Hill
Farms,
we are
committed
to
raising
our
animals
humanely,
on
pasture
as
nature
intended.
We
believe
that our
pasture-raised
beef and
lamb is
the best
available.
We want
to
provide
your
family
with the
same
safe,
healthy
and
delicious
beef and
lamb
that our
family
enjoys.
We are
Scott
and Joan
Justice,
and we
have
been
raising
cattle
on our
farm in
the
South
Carolina
low
country
for
almost
20
years.
Joan was born and raised in the area,
having
grown up
in
Salley
where
her
family
has been
farming
for two
generations.
Joan
teaches
in the
Aiken
County
schools.
She
enjoys
helping
out with
the
animals,
but her
real
passion
(besides
kids) is
cooking.

Scott is
originally
from
Georgia
and has
been
involved
in the
cattle
industry, either
as a
ranch
manager
or
owner,
for over
30
years.
He spent
a number
of years
working
in the
ranch
industry
in New
Mexico
and
Montana
before
settling
in South
Carolina
and
founding
Moss
Hill
Farms.
We are
truly a
family
operation!
Our four
daughters
have
grown up
on the
farm,
learning
from an
early
age how
to help
with the
chores
and take
care of
their
animals
– cows,
horses,
lambs,
chickens,
and
dogs.
We put
a great
deal of
work
into the
farm,
and our
animals
receive
the best
care and
attention.
We
consult
regularly
with our
veterinarian
to be
sure
that all
of our
animals
are
healthy
and in
the best
possible
condition.
Our
cattle
and
sheep
live in
a
low-stress
environment
and are
allowed
to
mature
naturally.
We never
use
grain to
fatten
our
animals
or
confine
them to
feedlots.
We do
not use
antibiotics
or
artificial
growth
stimulants
never
receive
any
antibiotics
or
hormones.
We work
closely
with our
veterinarian
to
ensure
that our
animals
are
healthy,
humanely
treated
and
receive
the best
care
possible.
Our
program
takes
patience,
dedication,
and more
time
than
conventional
production
methods.
The end
result
is a
healthy,
safe and
delicious
product
for your
family.
